Size Matters: Which Size DockATot to Buy?

Baby Resting Comfortable in DockATot baby lounger

One of our most frequently asked questions is about which size DockATot to order. The Deluxe dock is for ages 0-8 months and the Grand dock is for 9-36 months.

Our experience is that parents seem to think the baby has outgrown the Deluxe size way before the baby thinks the same or is uncomfortable and cannot get settled in it. One of the reasons the design includes clasps that lengthen the legs of the DockATot Deluxe, is so that babies can get longer use out of it. Always unclip the buckle at the footend of the DockATot Grand to ensure a safe environment for child. The clip at the foot end, specifically on the Grand, is intended to be used for easy portability and storing and must remain unbuckled during use.

Bear in mind that no baby rests with their legs straight, but somewhat curled. Also, babies love the sense of being surrounded and resting their legs or feet on top of the bumper. So it's not always necessary to unclip the legs of the DockATot Deluxe even until much later.

One of our trademarks - "Reinventing the womb" - clearly indicates that it is supposed to be snug. There are many users that tell us that they have used the Deluxe size up until 10-12 months. This creates a feeling of snugness, which is very comforting for the child. It's as if they child is being held in a sense.

Above is a picture of baby Rocket using the Deluxe dock at 15 months still, with the legs of the dock unclipped. She looks quite comfortable to us. Don't you agree?
