Introducing DockATot x Morris & Co.
The story behind our newest collection
It is not often we do collaborations, which is why our new partnership with Morris & Co. is so meaningful. The historic British design house has always been admired by our founder Lisa Furuland Kotsianis. The new collection is a true passion project and is intended to inspire and spark imagination in all of our families.
"I have always admired the works of William Morris. It was his design ethos that pioneered the Arts & Crafts movement whilst championing the idea of beautiful design for the home," says Lisa. "By pairing the iconic Morris & Co. prints with our products, we're able to offer families the opportunity to own a meaningful piece of art history that is also extremely useful."
William Morris championed a principle of handmade production that didn't chime with the Victorian era's focus on industrialization, and as a brand we also put emphasis on quality and artisanal production close to home. We never want to create single-use or short-lived mass-produced items. His philosophy that anything brought into the home must be both useful and beautiful is very much the philosophy we also follow at DockATot. Not to mention, the elegant nature-inspired works of William Morris lend themselves incredibly well to a family-friendly home.
While the Morris & Co. prints can be found on our docks, we have also launched number of new products: Tent of Dreams, the Zen bolster, Quintessentially Morris pillows, Dream Weaver Moses Basket and La Maman nursing pillow.
Most of these new products work equally as well in the living room as they do in the nursery. They have been created with the intention that all items can be used and cherished long after the nursery has transformed into a bedroom.
